About the role
The Wellbeing Day is a community event, run every 3 months on a Saturday. It involves a structured timetable of activities, which in the past has included things like meditation, self-care talks, yoga, meditation, nutrition workshops, walks, gardening, art and singing. Amongst this bustle of activity is a community lunch and a spot of musical entertainment. You could be involved in the day in a number of ways:
- Supporting on the day – set up and pack down, preparing lunch, hosting the space, and building relationships with clients and community members.
- Running a workshop – running a 45 minute wellbeing workshop, using your existing skills, interests or qualifications.
- Providing the musical entertainment at Lunch – if you’re a performer, why not share this with the community for some entertainment over lunch.
About you
To support us on the day you won’t need any previous experience or knowledge. We’re simply looking for people who love working with people, who align with our values and who, most importantly, are open to learning.
If you’re looking to run a workshops, then depending on what sort of workshop you’d like to run you might need a formal qualification – for example if you were looking to run a therapeutic workshop, yoga or Pilates.
Commitment
A Saturday every 3 months – roughly 10am-5pm for those supporting the day or between 2-4 hours for those running workshops.
Check out our Community Activities page for upcoming Wellbeing Days.
