Administrative volunteer

About the role

You’ll be supporting our team in the office, by performing a range of administration tasks. Depending on your interests and skills, this might include:

  • Answering phones – speaking to clients and other professionals, doing referrals to
    our services, speaking about what we do and what we have on offer, taking
    messages for members of staff
  • Supporting our evaluation and research (research, transcribing interviews)
  • Working on our community newsletter (writing, editing, designing)
  • Data entry
  • Answering emails
  • Supporting administrative side of volunteer recruitment

About you

You’ll need some basic administration and IT skills alongside good written and oral communication skills, but otherwise we’re simply looking for people who align with our values and who, most importantly, are open to learning.

Commitment

Flexible, but ideally a few hours a week, for a minimum of six months

Availability

Monday-Friday, between 10am and 5pm

Support and Learning

You’ll receive tailored support from our volunteer coordinator, and be part of a team environment in the office where you can get support as needed. As with all our volunteer opportunities, you’ll also have access to a range of free, formal training opportunities including Mental Health First Aid, The Care Certificate and First Aid.

We are not taking on volunteers at this time

In light of Covid-19, our community wellbeing centre is closed until we feel we are able to re-open safely. Unfortunately this means that we are not taking on volunteers at this time. However we encourage you to return to our website in a few months time to see if any changes have been made.
