We are not taking on Opportunity 1 students at this time

With the closure of our community centre due to Covid-19, we’re not currently taking on students for Placement Opportunity 1. We hope that these may return in late 2021.

We're pausing applications for Placement Opportunities 2 and 3

This year we've received an unprecedented number of applications for Opportunity 2 and 3 Placements, and are therefore pausing applications for the time being. Once we've processed the applications we have on hand, we'll consider whether we have still have opportunities available and, if so, will re-open our applications. If you love what we do and are hoping to still get an application in, we'd recommend checking back in on the website in early-mid June. Please don't contact us during this time - just sit tight and check back in then.

If you've already applied but were unable to book an interview slot, don't worry: we'll be in touch with you to get this organised.

Placement Opportunities

Likewise offers a variety of opportunities for students needing to undertake a placement in a social care and mental health setting as part of their university studies.

A placement with us will give you hands-on, front-line experience working with a diverse client group and the opportunity to give back to your community. The focus will be on your professional development and learning and so you’ll have a tailored support system and access to a range of formal training opportunities to help you make the most of your learning.

We offer four different placement formats – three aimed at students looking to enter a career in the Social Care, Health or Social Justice sectors; and one tailored for students interested in a career in Social Work. In selecting which option is best for you, you should look at the time requirements of your individual university and course.
